Qualification:

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Engineering (ECE/CS/EEE)

• 10 - 12 years’ experience in avionics software development/systems/software verification with minimum 3 years’ experience as a Technical Lead in software verification or development.

• Strong technical skills with emphasis in the areas of software development and verification processes, certification, and DO-178 design assurance guidelines.

• Experience across Aero products in Software Development and Verification

• Strong understanding of software verification methods and tools currently in use as well as versed in industry standards and direction.

• Experience with preparation and execution of project plans, schedules, cost estimates, baseline change management, risk mitigation, technical design reviews, management reviews, customer coordination meetings, cost/schedule/status reporting

• Applicant should be highly motivated and have the ability to influence technical decisions.

• Strong communication skills across multiple stakeholders including executive communication. Presents ideas concisely, listen, and understand without repeated explanation.

• Green belt and/or DFSS certified


Job Description:               

- Experience in working on DO-178B/C aerospace programs

- Experienced in driving common test architecture/environment/strategies, tools, processes.

- Very good grasp on C, C++, Python and Embedded programming

- Experience in using Gen AI tools – ChatGPT, Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing, to develop application/utilities to automate the process steps

- Responsible for working closely with both internal and external stakeholders (Product COE, PI, TOOLS, CERT), influencing them and drive upstream connectivity and change

- Responsible to define the Burning Platform for his/her functional team and ensure the Burning Platform, is embraced, understood by team and organization. Responsible for continual communication and reference to Burning Platform with team/organization and motivate the team to address the Burning Platform

- Responsible to Identify, prioritize and deploy key improvement strategies/initiatives, to drive improvements (Productivity and Cycle Time) in line with the Software V&V COE SDP priorities

- Drive common test environments, tools, processes, test methodologies. Drive Capex / OPEX, Infrastructure, Oversight reduction strategies

- Responsible for Talent strategies of the team as per the TRR and CDP plan. Develop strong technical leadership in the Product line. 

- Experienced in influencing SW architecture to support most efficient approach of testing.

- Stay abreast on the latest embedded software testing technologies of aerospace and adjacencies.

- Review and approve the preliminary design review and critical design review for the most efficient test approach and solution.

- Expertise in using debuggers, simulators, Vector Cast/Cover, MATLAB

- Experience in evaluating new technologies (multi core processors, hand held, graphics etc), new architecture design tools experienced in developing and defining process that helps mistake proof work in the efficient way 

- Experienced in leading technical development activities, guiding lower level engineers, collaborating with cross functional teams and driving to objectives of quality, cost and schedule 

- Experienced in managing stakeholders within and outside organization demonstrate ability to identify and propose technical improvements using engineering expertise.
