As part of the East for East (E4E) New Product development (NPIs), the role will be responsible for defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and schedules and engage with cross-functional stakeholders and manage project risks. This role will also be responsible for driving operational metrics and KPIs for E4E Industrial Automation (IA) and Process Automation (PA) engineering teams which include but not restricted to NPI program performance, revenue tracking for Global and India localization NPIs (E4E). As such, the role must possess technical project management skills and demonstrate business acumen. The role reports into the India Engineering Operations Leader for Process Automation.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Understand the IA/PA New Product Introduction (NPI) Lifecycle and engage with Offering Managers and Project teams on revenue realization for India-based localization projects.
- Project Planning & Execution: Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and schedules, often using agile / traditional approaches as required.
- Team Leadership: Direct engineers and technical staff, assigning tasks and fostering collaboration
- Budget & Resource Management: Monitor project costs, track budgets, and allocate resources efficiently.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project roadblocks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Reporting: Provide regular updates on progress, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to leadership. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and leadership communication are key aspects of the role.
- Establish strong analytics and reporting to monitor engineering KPIs such as revenue, launch timeliness and other performance indicators to Engineering Leadership to enable informed decision making.
- Identify, analyze, and derive insights / patterns from data. Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10-12 years overall experience with exposure to NPI engineering project management.
- Master’s degree in science / Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Business degree such as MBA is preferable but not a must-have.
- In-depth understanding of at least one Business Process and familiarity with New Product Introduction (NPI) Lifecycle. Should know basic finance, project accounting and business case preparation.
- Familiarity with Project Management tools such as Microsoft Project (MPP) and other project execution tools such as JIRA.
- Understanding of AGILE & Scrum methodologies.
- Expertise in advanced EXCEL usage is preferred. Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) is a bonus.
- Hands-on with PowerPoint presentations and reports and comfortable with leadership communication.

Skills Required
