The Senior Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager for APAC will lead the regional AR function, ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, and cash application across multiple markets. This role is critical for maintaining healthy cash flow, minimizing credit risk, and driving process improvements aligned with Global AR organization. This role reports to Senior Accounting Director, APAC, based in Singapore.
Job duties include but not limited to: -
Leadership & Management
- Oversee AR operations across APAC, managing a team of AR managers and specialists based in China, India, Japan, Korea and Singapore
- Set performance goals, provide coaching, and ensure compliance with company policies
Credit & Collections
- Develop and implement credit policies for APAC customers in partnership with Global Credit Control
- Monitor aging reports, drive collection strategies, and resolve escalated disputes
Process & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to SOX, US GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory requirements
- Partner with internal audit and compliance teams for periodic reviews
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly AR dashboards, DSO metrics, and cash flow forecasts
- Analyze trends and recommend strategies to improve working capital
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Treasury teams to optimize AR processes
- Act as the regional point of contact for global AR initiatives
System & Automation
- Drive ERP enhancements and automation projects for AR processes
- Ensure data integrity and timely reconciliations
Preferred Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 12 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of APAC markets, tax regulations, and multi-currency transactions
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinking with a can-do attitude
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead cross-border teams and manage complexity
