We have an opportunity for a Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist who will be responsible for multiple functions within the accounts receivable department, including processing all WEAS invoicing and collections efficiently and accurately. This role requires great attention to detail, a thorough understanding of accounting principles and a strong ability to communicate with customers and internal teams.

The salary target for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 depending on experience. This role is also eligible for a corporate bonus plan.

Primary Job Functions

Accounts Receivable Invoicing and Cash Collection

  • Process timely, accurate and complete invoicing for the Wealth Enhancement Advisory Services and assist with Wealth Enhancement Tax and Consulting Services entities.

  • Create cash collection transactions in Salesforce for various types of revenue and expenses. Ensure accuracy of input into Salesforce.

  • Reconcile all Salesforce cash collection transactions to related bank transaction.

  • Collaborate with variable compensation team to ensure data entered into Salesforce is complete and accurate for downstream calculations and reporting.

  • Communication with the financial advisor teams regarding outstanding balances, late payments, and any other issues related to accounts receivable. This may involve working with the advisors to address any concerns.

  • Manage timely, accurate and complete check and direct deposit for all entities, including application on appropriate invoices.

  • Assist with clearing dashboards, processing refunds, researching miscellaneous payments, etc.

Process Documentation

  • Update process documentation as we continue to expand and improve our processes.

  • Maintain the WEAS master schedule ensuring updates are made as necessary.

  • Review and track the Retainers processed by WEAS following up with the teams as necessary for accurate information.

Assist AR Manager

  • Be a support for the AR Manager as we continue to implement new processes to strengthen our relationships with the Advisors/Teams. Examples include setting up lockboxes at Wells Fargo, implementing e-Bill functionality, AR automation, etc.

  • Communicate issues/concerns in a timely manner as to encourage a quick resolve for all parties.

  • Assist with agile projects, testing, planning, etc. as needed.

  • Initiate process improvements that will help improve efficiencies.

  • Open for cross training to assist both AR and the Revenue team as we strive to build a more cohesive unit.

Education/Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Accounting or related area of study

  • 3-5 years of general operations or accounting experience

  • Advanced Excel skills required

  • Inter-personal and communication skills working with people at all levels

  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the tasks assigned

  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and diligence in completing tasks
