Position Summary:
Reporting to the Sr Manager, Revenue Accounting, the Senior Accounting Analyst, Revenue will support the team based in the United States (San Diego, CA) and play an integral role on the corporate accounting team, working through complex issues, transactions, and projects independently as well as collaboratively with other finance and cross functional team members. The successful candidate will be able to work and communicate effectively in a team environment, interacting with all levels of our organization, international team members, and internal and external auditors.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Sr. Manager, Revenue Accounting in the application of the company’s Revenue Recognition Policy and all related accounting policies and procedures; includes performing month-end account analysis, reconciliations, journal entry postings, and quarterly presentations.
- Review complex contracts to assess proper revenue treatment in accordance with ASC 606.
- Participate in quarterly revenue projection meetings and activities.
- Record revenue accruals and ad-hoc entries as part of the monthly close process.
- Analyze and maintain balance sheet accounts related to revenue, and perform monthly and quarterly reconciliation and review procedures.
- Perform quarterly delivery cutoff and acceptance review procedures and record periodic cutoff deferrals.
- Prepare and maintain journal entry support and account reconciliations.
- Responsible for maintaining internal control narratives and testing documentation for areas of responsibility.
- Participate in quarterly reviews and annual audit, and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Partner and collaborate with other FP&A customers and stakeholders on revenue accounting treatments for complex arrangements.
- Drive process improvement initiatives by applying strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:
- Typically, a minimum of 5 years of experience, background in public accounting is preferred, and corporate accounting experience is a plus.
- Degreed in accounting or finance.
- Experience with ASC 606 and other related technical accounting or revenue accounting principles is strongly preferred.
- Experience with SAP (or equivalent ERP system) and Blackline accounting close software is preferred.
- CPA certificate and relevant industry accounting experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to effectively work within a team to expedite completion of critical projects with other functional groups.
- Must bring a process improvement mindset.
- Demonstrate a commitment to accuracy and quality, while meeting goals and tight deadlines; superior attention to detail is a must.
- Must have the ability to prioritize workload and perform multiple tasks under accelerated deadlines.
- Must be flexible in terms of adjusting schedule to meet various demands driven by our dynamic business environment.
- Self-directed and able to work well and communicate effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Experience/Education:
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience..

The estimated base salary range for the Sr Accounting Analyst, Revenue (Hybrid) role based in the United States of America is: $80,900 - $121,300. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
