Job Description
Collects and analyzes complex financial information.
Prepares accurate, transparent, and timely financial reports, accounting statements and recommendations to support leadership in the decision-making process. Reports may include profit and loss statements, balance sheets, depreciation statements, cash flow, debtor and creditor lists, repayment schedules, regulatory reports, and filings.
Prepares journal entries; maintains and reconciles more complex general ledger accounts.
Reviews reconciliations to ensure that the general ledger is accurate and complete.
May provide technical accounting advice within area of expertise to functional or operational managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.
Ensures accuracy and compliance with all accounting regulations.
Demonstrates ability to respond to audit requests timely with accurate and complete support.
Applies knowledge and experience to come to independent accounting conclusions and proposals to management
