The role is responsible for supporting manufacturing costing, country consolidation, general ledgers, tax, statutory compliance, and business partnering activities for Avient Colorants Thailand.
The role serves as a sole contributor and reports to Thailand finance leader, ensuring accurate financial data, controls, and insightful analysis to drive decision-making.
ResponsibilitiesManufacturing & Operations Finance
- Partner with plant stakeholder to improve operational performance
- Lead standard costing, inventory valuation, and variances analysis.
- Drive cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
Financial Accounting, Reporting, Compliance & Tax Management
- Coordinate month-end, year-end, statutory, and audit closing activities
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and accounts consolidation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, IFRS/US GAAP, Thai accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
- Manage local tax obligations and compliances in corporate income tax, transfer pricing documentation and regulatory reviews, when required.
- Special projects as assigned.
Scope
This position interacts regularly with Work closely with internal stakeholders including the Plant Manager, Commercial Leadership Team, Supply Chain & Operations, Regional Finance Team, and Shared Service Centers, as well as external stakeholders including auditors, tax authorities, banks and financial institutions, regulatory agencies, and external consultants.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- CPA, CPD, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
Experience
- 6 – 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
- Audit experience 3 – 4 years with Big 4 or mid-term firm.
- Experience 3 – 4 years in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Thai accounting standards, costing and taxation.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of standard costing methodologies and internal control system.
