Job Description

About this role: The Sr. Accountant, Technical Accounting will support technical accounting research and documentation, review contracts to determine accounting treatment, and participate in SEC reporting and accounting close activities. This role will partner closely with cross-functional teams to assess accounting implications and support compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX requirements. The role reports to the Director, Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting. 

Main Responsibilities:  

  • Research, analyze, and document accounting conclusions for complex transactions.  

  • Prepare and maintain technical accounting position papers and memorandums. 

  • Review customer, vendor, and other business contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with US GAAP.  

  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process (journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, flux analysis etc.)   

  • Partner with Legal, FP&A, Partner Alliance, Revenue and Sales Operations and other cross functional teams.  

  • Assist with preparation of SEC filings, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and Proxy.  

  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting procedures while maintaining SOX compliance.   

Desired Skills and Experience:  

  • 5-7 years total experience in a public company accounting role, audit role at Big 4 public accounting firm, or a combination, including 2+ years in a technical accounting role. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.  

  • CPA license preferred.  

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills and Microsoft Copilot.  

  • Proficiency using NetSuite in a multi-currency, multi-subsidiary environment a plus.  

  • Experience with Workiva SEC reporting tool a plus.  

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment and ability to work longer hours at quarter end.

JOB REQ COMPENSATION RANGE

$83,000 - $138,000

The base salary range for this role is shown above. At Sprinklr, base pay depends on multiple individualized factors, including experience, qualifications, job-related knowledge and skills, and geographic location. Base pay is only one part of our competitive Total Rewards package: the successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Sprinklr’s discretionary bonus plan, commission plan, and/or equity plan, depending on role.

US-based Sprinklr employees are eligible for a highly competitive benefits package as well, which demonstrates our commitment to our employees’ health, well-being, and financial protection.
