As the financial reports and systems tester on the Insurance Accounting team, you are crucial to the team’s testing effort for Guidewire system updates, market conversions, and new market launches. Your understanding of the policy/billing and claims instances of Guidewire and ability to perform related user acceptance testing and communicate results is critical to the success in the role.
What You'll Do:
Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of financial reports to support system updates, market conversions, new market launches, and/or remediation of system reporting issues. Includes assisting with developing test cases and testing timeline and coordinating efforts with other business units.
Gain and apply understanding of Guidewire insurance policy, billing, and claims systems. Other systems include HUON and Policy Star.
Gain and apply understanding of the logic and requirements of system financial reports used by the Insurance Accounting team for reporting.
Attend regular UAT status meetings to discuss testing status, issues, and updates.
Maintain detailed testing workpapers to support test results, findings, and follow-up remediation testing, as applicable.
Assist with internal and external auditor requests related to test work performed.
Attend and participate in working meetings to brainstorm report improvements or new reporting requirements, as needed.
Support Insurance Accounting team with reporting discrepancies or delays, such as during month-end close and as needed. Includes performing research or coordinating with IS/Data teams.
Identify and help implement process improvements.
Assist with ad-hoc projects/tasks, as assigned.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance preferred or relevant technical field.
Progressive and relevant systems/applications, and/or accounting experience.
At least 2 years of prior accounting systems testing experience.
Prior insurance accounting or similar field is a plus.
Prior experience with Guidewire or Tableau is a plus.
Detail-oriented and appreciation for work accuracy.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as with different departments within the organization.
Ability to multi-task, including flexibility to adjust with overlapping and changing deadlines.

The starting pay range for this position is:
$92,600.00 - $123,600.00Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
