Sr Accountant, Accounting
The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for supporting accounting and financial activities for the organization, ensuring accuracy of financial records, compliance with internal controls, and timely completion of month-end close activities. This role will also support financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and internal and external audit processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Mexico intercompany activities, including cash wire transfer requests and intercompany maquila service transactions.
- Perform and maintain Balance Sheet reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely account balances.
- Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, reserves, amortizations, bank commissions, account reviews, and variance analysis versus Budget and Forecast.
- Perform revaluation of P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.
- Reconcile SAP books in MXN and USD and review non-workflow journal entries.
- Review and reconcile scrap sales invoices.
- Prepare and support P&L and Balance Sheet financial statements.
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation, providing requested information, and coordinating auditor requirements.
- Manage Mexico Travel Card, Concur, and P-Card processes.
- Participate in Budget and Forecast preparation.
- Provide financial support to different departments regarding expenses, account activity, and information required for financial decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable financial standards.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred.
- Public Accountant / Accounting degree preferred.
- Experience with month-end close, Balance Sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis.
- Experience supporting internal and/or external audits, preferred.
- Knowledge of internal controls and compliance.
- SAP skills.
- Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Intermediate English proficiency.
