The Senior Account Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight and day-to-day administration of UMR multiemployer labor union benefit funds. This role serves as the primary relationship owner for assigned clients and acts as the single point of contact for trustees, fund professionals, business managers, and fund members. The position is accountable for maintaining and growing solid, trusted relationships with all fund stakeholders while ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and effective governance across Health & Welfare, Pension, and related benefit plans.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Client, Trustee & Relationship Management
- Serve as the single point of contact for trustees, union business managers, fund professionals, and fund members
- Maintain and grow solid relationships with trustees, business managers, fund professionals, and membership through proactive engagement, responsiveness, and consultative support
- Conduct and attend a minimum of four (4) trustee meetings per client, per fund, annually, ensuring effective governance and collaboration
- Attend and present at membership meetings, clearly communicating plan benefits, financial status, and operational updates
- Build long-term client trust by anticipating needs, advising on best practices, and supporting strategic decision-making
- Governance, Financial Oversight & Presentations
- Review, analyze, and present fund financials to trustees, including budgets, cash flow, reserves, and trend analysis
- Coordinate with actuaries, auditors, attorneys, investment advisors, and other fund professionals
- Prepare and present comprehensive plan overviews at trustee and membership meetings
- Fund Administration & Operations
- Maintain overall accountability for the operations of assigned funds, including:
- Eligibility administration
- Pension plan administration
- Health & Welfare plan administration
- Policy renewals and vendor management
- Ensure operations align with plan documents, trust agreements, and trustee directives
- Maintain overall accountability for the operations of assigned funds, including:
- Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, Department of Labor (DOL), IRS, and applicable state regulations
- Oversee required filings, disclosures, and regulatory reporting
- Advise trustees on compliance matters, governance standards, and operational risk
- Issue Resolution & Escalation Management
- Manage escalated member issues, ensuring timely, effective resolution with a high level of professionalism
- Resolve complex eligibility, benefit, and plan interpretation issues in coordination with internal teams and fund professionals
- Team Leadership & Meeting Coordination
- Partner with Service Account Managers to:
- Prepare and review trustee and committee meeting books
- Schedule meetings and coordinate logistics
- Develop agendas and presentation materials
- Coordinate with fund professionals to ensure accurate content and effective presentations
- Partner with Service Account Managers to:

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of labor union or multiemployer fund administration experience
- 2+ years of account management experience
- Experience in presenting technical and financial information to trustees and membership
- Solid knowledge of ERISA, DOL regulations, and multiemployer benefit plan operations
- Proven exceptional relationship management and communication skills
- Willing and able to travel 25% +/- depending on business need
- Driver's License and access to reliable transportation

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
