As part of the Agency activation Business Development team, you will play a critical role in accelerating The Trade Desk’s growth through strategic agency partnerships.
- Open the door to new business opportunities by clearly articulating the value of The Trade Desk across channels and by proactively diversifying agency activation strategies.
- Act as a trusted expert on our platform, solutions, market differentiators, and the evolving programmatic ecosystem.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Client Services, and regional leadership to build strategic sales plans and deliver transformational pitches and executive‑level presentations.
- Partner closely with agency team to consult, challenge and co‑develop effective digital advertising strategies tailored to their business objectives.
- Drive adoption and deeper usage of The Trade Desk’s products, ensuring long‑term value creation for both agencies and advertisers.
- Optimize client investment and grow existing business by identifying upsell opportunities and new strategic “big bets”.
- Analyze campaign performance, market trends and data signals to generate actionable insights and thought leadership for agencies.
- Develop compelling case studies from successful campaigns
- Work hand‑in‑hand with internal Business Agency Development and Client Services teams to build and maintain a strong, sustainable pipeline of opportunities.
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in Business Development, agency sales or solution‑based selling within digital advertising.
- Strong existing relationships with agency stakeholders, media leaders and technology decision‑makers.
- Prior experience at an online publisher, ad network, ad exchange, ad server, DSP, SEM platform or within a leading agency.
- A strong hunter mindset: you enjoy prospecting, opening doors and winning new business.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Experience in sales, consulting or strategic advisory roles is highly valued.
- Advanced knowledge of online media and programmatic advertising, including CTV and data‑driven activation.
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment with ambiguity, and able to influence without formal authority.
- Curious and quick learner, able to rapidly grasp new technologies, products and market evolutions.
- Experience managing complex, longer sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong cross‑functional collaborator, able to align internal teams around shared objectives.
- Tech‑savvy, innovation‑driven and passionate about the Open Internet.
