Strategic Responsibilities
- Develop business and technical relationships at the senior/executive level within select accounts and operating divisions.
- Own and execute specific customer global growth initiatives, gain customer buy-in, and drive local execution by collaborating with Regional Sales Directors.
- Build relationship maps within key accounts and foster relationship building between key customers and the executive team.
- Utilize knowledge of industry trends to establish targeted customer solutions and achieve long-term business goals for both the customer and the company.
- Create account leverage across the breadth of the portfolio.
- Align proposals and offerings to company objectives by working with cross-functional teams (Regional Sales Directors, Sales Ops, Marketing).
- Lead discussions on contracts and MSAs (Master Service Agreements).
- Develop relationships at senior and executive levels within select accounts.
Tactical Responsibilities
- Coordinate selling activities across all regions and partner with colleagues to align with both global and site-level strategy.
- Drive local execution by collaborating with Regional Sales Directors.
- Utilize internal resources to ensure you have the right tools and information to execute on deliverables.
- Build and support the creation of financial assessments (ROI) and co-develop business cases with customers.
- Deploy creative initiatives such as multi-system deals, multi-site deals, and pricing rebates to drive executive buy-in.
- Conduct regular business updates (QBRs) with key stakeholders within target customer list and participate in strategic meetings.
- Deliver upon assigned account revenue targets on a quarterly and annual basis.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum BS degree in a scientific discipline (microbiology, chemistry, biochemistry, or chemical engineering strongly preferred).
- MBA or professional business education highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience with 5 years as a strategic account executive in the Pharmaceutical / CMO / CDMO life sciences space; global experience highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, high-value accounts in a matrix environment.
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed management and cross-functional environment.
Travel Requirements
- Up to 50% travel expected.
- Frequent travel to the home office in Boston.
