Job Description:
The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for supporting and surveilling the assigned suppliers in order to assess compliance with Airbus norms and legal obligations, monitor and improve the supplier quality performance and achieve the designed objectives.
The main activities will be:
Ensure that processes deployed and applies during incoming, storage and deliveries are compliant with Airbus Helicopters requirements, in order to guarantee products conformity
Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for supporting and surveilling the assigned suppliers in order to assess compliance with Airbus norms and legal obligations, monitor and improve the supplier quality performance and achieve the designed objectives.
Audit the assigned suppliers in a periodical schedule, and support the external audits that could involve them under AH responsibility.
Provide operational support for quality problem solving
Monitor achievement of corrective action plan requested
Non Conformities confirmation and follow up, monitoring the achievement of immediate actions and the long term corrective action; implementation of local firewalls or any kind of product containment actions.
Concessions handling from suppliers
Analyze and challenge the root cause analysis received from assigned suppliers
Support for Non Conformity committee preparation and lead routines for treatment
Provide periodical quality performance indicators report for monitoring and deal with the suppliers in terms of quality and deliveries
Support Aviation Safety Network
Participate and be involved in the continuous improvement process
Maintain and update the necessary material master data in SAP for correct material handling (requirements in Purchase Orders, automatic requirements at incoming inspection…)
Analyze and perform the First Article Inspection for the materials
Training / experience:
Desirable: Degree or master in any field related to materials technologies.
At least 2 years of supplier related position treating spares, non conformities, kpi follow up or similar task.
Competencies
Knowledge in Quality Systems and standards for aeronautical industry and Support & Service activity,
Knowledge in inspection processes and technologies,
Knowledge in failure mode and effect analysis
8D problem solving
KPIs definition, management and analysis,
Quality documentation knowledge and validation
First Article Inspections analysis and validation
Knowledge in manufacturing technologies (machining, organic, bulk, chemicals…)
Complex cross-functional management in international environment.
