Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and experienced SQL and Oracle DBA Administrator to join our IT team based in Lisbon.
Responsibilities:
- Database operations and monitoring;
- Ensure proper functioning of database instances;
- Manage database user accounts, roles, and privileges according to defined security policies;
- Perform routine administration tasks;
- Take ownership of Admin-level (L2/L3 DB) incidents raised by monitoring tools or support teams;
- Diagnose and resolve performance issues;
- Implement, control, and optimize backup and restore strategies for databases;
- Document and improve recovery and failover procedures;
- Execute maintenance operations, version upgrades, migrations and configuration;
- Write and maintain technical documentation;
- Typical environments: SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle.
- Academic training in the IT area or similar;
- At least 5 years of experience as a DBA (Oracle and SQL);
- Experience in performance analysis and database tuning, optimization, queries/scripting and troubleshooting;
- Proactivity;
- Team spirit;
- Good communication;
- Rigorous, service-oriented, autonomous, strong team player;
- Fluent in English; technical English required.

Skills Required
- Academic training in IT or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience as a DBA with Oracle and SQL
- Experience in performance analysis, database tuning, optimization, queries or scripting, and troubleshooting
- Fluent English, including technical English
- Proactivity, good communication, autonomy, rigor, service orientation, and strong teamwork
