Job Title: SQL DBA Engineer

Job Summary: The SQL DBA Engineer will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security. This role requires a proactive approach to optimizing database performance, implementing backup and recovery strategies, and collaborating with development teams to support application requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Perform regular database backups and recovery operations.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet application requirements.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Develop and document database standards and best practices.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot database-related issues.
- Stay updated with the latest SQL Server features and best practices in database management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a SQL DBA.
- Strong experience with SQL Server, including installation, configuration, and management.
- Proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedure development, and performance tuning.
- Experience with backup and recovery strategies.
- Familiarity with database security concepts and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).
- Certifications in SQL Server or related technologies.
