We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer with 3–5 years of experience to design, develop, optimize and maintain database scripts. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL programming, database performance tuning, and data pipeline support, and will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including analytics, product, and engineering.
This role supports U.S. East Coast business hours; candidates must be willing and able to work U.S. Eastern Time or closely aligned hours on a regular basis.
What You’ll Be Doing
Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions
Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis
Develop and support ETL processes for data ingestion, transformation, and loading
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems
Work closely with data analysts, data engineers, and application teams to understand business requirements
Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution
Create and maintain technical documentation for database structures and processes
Support reporting and analytics needs by building efficient data models
What We Look For
3–5 years of hands-on experience in SQL development
Strong proficiency in relational databases such as: Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
Expertise in writing complex queries, joins, CTEs, and window functions
Experience with performance tuning and query optimization
Good understanding of database design principles (normalization, indexing, etc.)
Experience with ETL tools or scripting (e.g., SSIS, Informatica, or custom pipelines)
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
Basic knowledge of Python or other scripting languages is a plus
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
