SQL Developer | About You 

As a SQL Developer, you are responsible for driving technical excellence in complex financial data environments. You thrive in client-facing roles, translating business needs into scalable, high-performance data solutions. Your deep expertise in SQL and financial systems enables you to ensure data integrity and optimize performance across platforms. You take ownership of outcomes, foster collaboration across teams, and consistently deliver reliable, well-structured data solutions that support strategic business goals. 

SQL Developer | Day-to-Day 

• Lead technical discussions with clients and internal stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. 
• Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL procedures, packages, and triggers in Sybase and SQL Server environments, focusing on performance, scalability, and maintainability. 
• Integrate Oracle databases with Salesforce, leveraging REST/SOAP APIs, ETL tools, or middleware platforms to enable seamless data flow and support cross-platform reporting and analytics. 
• Collaborate with offshore development teams, providing clear direction, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring consistent standards and quality across global resources. 
• Support daily operations by performing data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis of data issues, contributing to the stability and reliability of financial reporting systems. 
• Provide technical guidance on SQL best practices, conduct code reviews, and perform performance tuning to enhance the efficiency of existing codebases and database processes. 

SQL Developer | Skills & Experience 

• 10+ years of IT experience, including 3–4 years of hands-on SQL development in enterprise environments. 
• Expert-level proficiency in Sybase ASE/ASA, SQL Server, and Oracle databases, with a strong understanding of their architecture and optimization techniques. 
• Extensive experience in query optimization, data modeling, and managing large-scale financial datasets with high accuracy and performance requirements. 
• Proven track record of working directly with clients, translating business needs into technical solutions, and presenting complex concepts in a clear, actionable manner. 
• Strong familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and PL/SQL, enabling integration across diverse systems and platforms. 
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
