SQL Engineer/SSIS, SSRS

What does a successful SQL Engineer do at Fiserv? 

Join our team at Fiserv, where you'll play a key role in developing and optimizing SQL databases that power our cutting-edge payment solutions. You'll design tables, write and test code, and create stored procedures, views, and functions to enhance performance and scalability. What you will do: 

• Develop and optimize high-quality database solutions that drive business insights and efficiency.
• Design, implement, and fine-tune stored procedures, functions, and complex queries using T-SQL.
• Administer and maintain Windows Servers, SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
• Analyze and improve existing SQL queries to enhance database performance and efficiency.
• Build and deliver insightful reports and dashboards that meet business needs.
• Develop and execute data migration scripts to ensure smooth transitions between systems.
• Collaborate with business partners and analysts to understand data requirements and design effective database solutions.
• Document technical designs, implementation plans, and test cases to support seamless deployment and maintenance.

What you will need to have: 

• Bachelor's Degree (preferably Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent combination of experience, education and military. 
• 4–6 years of experience in programming principles, methods, and technologies.
• 3-5 years of SQL programming experience, including writing and optimizing complex queries.
• Experience with data management tools such as enterprise repositories, data modeling, data quality, and data mapping tools.
• Proficiency in ETL development and data integration processes.
• Ability to analyze and optimize database performance for efficiency and scalability.
• Experience designing and implementing database structures to support business applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.

What would be great to have: 

• Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
• Background in the financial industry or payment processing.

Salary Range:

$77,000.00-$107,200.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in Maryland. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ. Certain Positions are Commissions eligible.
