Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions to meet business requirements.
- Create and modify database tables, views, and indexes for optimal performance and data retrieval.
- Identify and troubleshoot SQL performance issues and provide effective solutions.
- Develop and implement data migration strategies to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime during the migration process.
- Perform thorough data analysis and validation to ensure successful migration and data accuracy.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with data migration and develop contingency plans.
- Maintain thorough documentation of SQL code, and migration processes.
- Contribute to the development of best practices, standards, and guidelines for SQL development and database migration.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technologies related to SQL development and database migration.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- 1+ years of experience with SQL development and data migration
- Strong experience as a SQL Developer with or in data migration projects, working with complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in SQL scripting languages (e.g., T-SQL, PL/SQL) and database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle).
- Solid understanding of database migration concepts and methodologies.
- Experience with database administration, data modeling, and schema design.
- Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
