The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for leading and managing all supplier quality activities related to Sunroof Systems. This position ensures supplier product quality, process capability, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.The role oversees Supplier Quality Development (SQD), Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE), and Incoming Inspection parts, ensuring supplier performance meets company and customer expectations throughout the product lifecycle, including new program launches and mass production.

Supplier Quality Strategy & Leadership
o Lead and manage the Supplier Quality organization (SQD, SQE, Incoming Inspection)
o Develop and implement supplier quality strategy aligned with company and customer requirements
o Establish quality standards and governance across the supplier base
o Ensure supplier capability supports Sunroof System quality targets and launch readiness
Supplier Quality Development (SQD)
o Drive supplier development activities to improve quality, delivery, and cost performance
o Lead supplier assessments, process audits, and capability evaluations
o Support sourcing decisions through supplier capability assessment
o Implement supplier improvement programs and continuous improvement initiatives
Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE)
o Manage supplier quality issues during mass production and launch phases
o Manage supplier performance indicators including:
- Supplier PPM
- Supplier Audit Score
- Cost of Non-Conformance (NCMD)
- Delivery performance
o Lead problem-solving activities using structured methodologies such as:
- 8D
- Root Cause Analysis
- Corrective and Preventive Actions
o Drive containment and recovery actions for supplier-related quality issues
o Ensure supplier corrective actions are implemented and verified for effectiveness
o Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Program Management, and Customer Quality
Incoming Quality Control (IQC)
o Manage incoming inspection processes for supplier components
o Establish inspection standards and acceptance criteria
o Ensure effective containment of nonconforming materials
o Optimize inspection strategies based on supplier risk level and performance
o Reduce incoming defects through supplier improvement initiatives
Supplier Performance Management
o Monitor and report supplier performance metrics
o Conduct regular supplier performance reviews
o Escalate critical supplier quality risks
o Develop recovery plans for underperforming suppliers
o Lead supplier workshops and improvement programs
Cross-Functional Collaboration
o Act as the key interface between:
o Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, Customer Quality
o Align supplier quality objectives with business and program requirements
o Communicate supplier quality issues and recovery plans to management
Report Directly to Quality Director
Specific Requirements:
o Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)
o Minimum 8–10 years of automotive industry experience
o Minimum 3 years of leadership or team management experience
o Experience with supplier quality management in automotive systems or modules
o Experience with new product launch (APQP / PPAP)
o Intermediate-level English proficiency is required
