Job DescriptionThe Sportsbook Supervisor is responsible for the operations of the Sportsbook during assigned shift including, but not limited to, establishing limits for betting propositions in various sporting events, approving or denying wagers from customers, scheduling of staff, and ensuring compliance with gaming and company regulations. They are also responsible for the operations of the Sportsbook during assigned shift including, but not limited to, establishing limits for betting propositions in various sporting events, approving or denying wagers from customers, scheduling of staff, and ensuring compliance with gaming and company regulations.
The Sportsbook Supervisor:
- Provides prompt, courteous, accurate and overall exceptional service to internal and external guests including issue resolution.
- Supervises the daily Sportsbook operations for an assigned shift.
- Ensures compliance with all state and federal laws including regulatory controls with Indiana Gaming Commission and internal controls in order to safeguard the company’s assets and to avoid liabilities.
- Assists in monitoring business demands and makes necessary scheduling and staffing adjustments.
- Assists the Sportsbook Assistant Manager with the day-to-day operation of the Sportsbook to include training and development, counseling, and supervision of team members.
- Monitors all monies being wagered and updates the betting odds according to Company policy.
- Assists with the creation of writer tills.
- Perform cashiering duties such as making change, accepting wagers, and payment of wagers.
- Must be aware of all Title 31 procedures and logging.
- Assists in maintaining proper levels of inventory for Sportsbook supplies.
- Assumes the responsibilities of the Sportsbook Lead Supervisor in his/her absence.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- High School diploma or GED required. Associate degree and/or bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business-related area preferred.
- Prior cash handling and/or betting experience required.
- One (1) year of recent experience in the same or similar position preferred.
- Strong background and in-depth knowledge of the gaming industry and betting process preferred.
- Ability to operate the Sportsbook tracking system and Title 31 software system are preferred.
- Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
