The Sports Staff will help to create an inclusive and engaging experience while promoting programs that encourage health and wellness within our community.
Location: Rancho Mission Viejo Pavilion
Work Schedule: Candidates must be available to work the following shifts:
- Monday 3:30pm - 9:00pm
- Wednesday 1:00pm - 9:00pm
- Saturday 8:00am - 4:00pm
Purpose and Impact:
- Ensure Facility Readiness:
- Inspect, prepare, and maintain sports fields and equipment to create a safe, organized, and enjoyable environment for all participants.
- Facilitate Participant Experience:
- Guide participants through registration and check-in, manage program paperwork, and deliver clear communication of program details. Officiate games and maintain accurate scoring when assigned.
- Inspire Positive Engagement:
- Champion fairness and inclusion by supervising activities, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming environment where every participant feels valued and supported.
- Build Positive Connections:
- Engage with participants and families to foster a friendly atmosphere, answer questions, and share information that enhances their overall experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum Age: Must be 16 years with a valid work permit
- Experience & Skills:
- Experience in customer service preferred.
- Must have experience in sports.
- Must be able to work with children ages 3 to 15 years old.
- Excellent communication, organization, and planning skills.
- Certifications:
- First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).

Skills Required
- Minimum age 16 with valid work permit
