Westminster College is looking for two graduate assistants to serve in the Sports Information department. These graduate assistants are responsible for supporting the athletic department in various responsibilities. Westminster College is a member of the NCAA Division III, competing in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) and the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC).

Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Support The Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Information in duties such as stat keeping, record keeping, managing social media accounts, and live streaming capabilities.
  • Assists in promoting and marketing the athletic department and its 22 intercollegiate athletic programs.
  • Responsible for writing game recaps, and individuals student-athlete stories.

Eligibility:

Students are eligible for a Graduate Assistantship at Westminster College if they have been admitted to a graduate degree program at William Woods University. An official offer cannot be extended to an applicant until the student is accepted. 

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Benefits and Compensation:

Graduate Assistants will receive a stipend of $1,000 per semester while holding a Graduate Assistant position. Graduate Assistants receive a tuition waiver to cover tuition costs for up to 9 credits per semester while holding the Graduate Assistantship. The College does not cover the cost of textbooks or other student fees. Graduate Assistants are required to maintain health insurance coverage while enrolled at the College, at their own expense. Graduate Assistants are required to live in campus housing which will be provided at no cost.
