Summary
The Sports Information Assistant supports the Director and Assistant Director of Athletic Communications by collecting, managing, and distributing athletic communications and statistics for Post University's 22 NCAA Division II sports programs.
Pay: $15,000 stipend, paid over 10 months
Essential Responsibilities- Assist with gathering, compiling, and distributing athletic statistics, news, and feature content.
- Support game day operations, including statistics, scoring, media relations, and event coverage.
- Maintain and update athletics website content.
- Assist with video streaming, video editing, and social media initiatives.
- Coordinate with coaches and athletic staff to promote programs, student-athletes, and departmental achievements.
- Develop positive media exposure for athletic teams, coaches, and the Department of Athletics through various communication channels.
- Provide timely information to media outlets, campus stakeholders, and the public.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Working knowledge of NCAA and conference rules and a commitment to compliance.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with website content management systems and athletic statistics software preferred.
