VidCon is the largest celebration of digital content creation. It’s where digital culture takes center stage as the world’s leading digital creators, platform innovators, and their fans converge in one place. Fans make new friends, creators expand their reach, and groundbreaking industry exchanges happen here. It’s the magic of digital content and its creators in real life! The flagship VidCon Anaheim event hosted 55,000 people, 250 Featured Creators, and 80 brand exhibitors in 2024.

The Role of The Sales Manager, VidCon will be responsible for selling partnerships, sponsorships & exhibit booths to consumer brands and digital creator industry companies looking to connect with fans and business professionals in the content creator industry. Our clients include YouTube, Meta, Fanta, Disney, MGA Toys, Whaler, Viral Nation, and more.
- Generate new partnerships with brand marketers, their agencies, and influencer companies through consumer marketing event and digital products as well as B2B sponsorship and demand generation products
- Convert prospects into partners by having them engage via individual events, national tour programs, and digital media packages
- Cross sell clients into additional products and digital packages throughout the year; upsell clients into promotional programs at events which they have committed to
- Entertain client decision makers and host prospects on site at events, attend industry events, and face to face meetings when possible
- Post contract, work closely with the Account Management team to share and monitor key client goals, needs, stakeholders, long term sales goals of the partnership, and more throughout the entire delivery process up to and including post event and post campaign wrap meetings
- Hold post event meetings w/ partners to enhance and improve future campaigns
- Develop Win-Win-Win programs for The Client-The Business-The Fans with a focus on long term successful partnerships
- Achieve and log weekly and monthly virtual/face to face meetings goals via Salesforce
- Maintain and demonstrate a true understanding of the client’s needs through high EQ and act as a champion for clients internally
- Bring opportunities, challenges, and pipeline updates to collaborative, weekly sales meetings
- This job reports into Partnership Director. The position is open nationwide in the US and our team works across the US and Canada.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of carrying an individual sales quota in Consumer and/or B2B event sponsorship with proven success in hitting quotas and achieving business objectives
- Demonstrable, meaningful connections with either brand marketers and or B2B marketing decision-makers in the influencer industry
- Ability to work with prospects and clients to integrate and adapt all programs to align with and excite influencer-fan audiences post-contract to deliver successful campaigns while successfully working internally with varying stakeholders
- Highly motivated to close deals, uncover new opportunities, and grow partnerships
- Ability to present to and close brand stakeholders at all job levels and across different verticals, along with a natural, strong ability to read the room with a high EQ
- Deep understanding of experiential and digital media sales processes, client success metrics, and tactics to close new business
- Self-motivated, proactive, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving skills
- The ability to work in a matrix structure thrives on team culture
- Experience with PowerPoint sales deck creation/updating
- Experience with regular Salesforce reporting or similar CRM
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
- Willingness and desire to work flexible hours and travel to events, sales meetings, and passport for potential travel to Canada events
- The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $80,000 depending on experience, plus commission
