The Job

Our Supply Chain Consultants play a critical part in our business development. Candidate is based in China and will work with APAC and global team.

Main Responsibilities

• Candidate will be responsible for managing all technical aspects of delivering our unified supply chain management solutions in implementation projects associated with assay management, supply and product trading, planning and scheduling.
• Additionally, candidate will use inhouse subject matter expertise in refinery supply chain to assist Sales in managing our client relationships and developing sales opportunities with new and existing clients in the oil industry.
• Working with clients on the phone, by email or face-to-face, candidate will need to learn about their business and identify their needs, as the basis for communicating the value of our software solutions.
• In addition, working with our support team and administration staff you’ll have a chance to help clients with complex applications of our tools and play a hand in providing content for Spiral conferences and marketing events.
• Candidate will need the communication skills to clarify complex situations and build rapport with engineers and high-level management in client companies around the world.
• Candidate will also need a strong engineering, scientific or mathematical background and the natural intellect to learn quickly on the job.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background combined with client facing technical cum commercial experience and excellent verbal and written skills, showing evidence of the following experience and skills.

Essential skills and experience

• Educated to a minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Chemical)
• Model building, debugging and case analyses using industry tools such as Honeywell’s RPMS, Haverly’s GRTMPS, AspenTech’s PIMS and other similar LP solution
• Analysis of technical requirements, solving detailed technical problems and providing solutions
• Trading, planning or scheduling experience in the refining industry or Consulting experience executing similar projects
• An ability to communicate detailed technical topics to a varied audience
• Good commercial awareness
• Experience of presenting to clients and to an audience
• Ready for travel to customer sites - domestic and International
• Keen to learn and gain in-depth understanding of technical issues
• Personable and confident with excellent presentation
• Competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Desirable:
• Previous use of Spiral Software’s CrudeManager, CrudeSuite or Spiral Suite (Assay, Plan, Schedule and Network)
• General understanding or databases, networks and software architecture
• Software development experience
• Ability to make convincing arguments in both technical and business contexts
• Ability to use C,C++, SQL
