KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The principal responsibilities of this position will include:
- Reading SPED (Special product engineering design) drawings to determine the correct assembly requirements and assembly method
- Determining the best sequence of SPED activities to ensure sub-assemblies and parts fitted both in and outside of line of flow are completed correctly and on time.
- Liaising with materials team to release SPED part kits in the correct sequence for truck builds.
- Completing SPED assembly and sub assembly work content.
- Testing trucks built with SPED content to ensure the quality and functionality are achieved per the design intent.
- Diagnosing and repairing any faults on trucks related to SPED options.
- Working closely within a technically experienced team and being agile to react and deliver to changing workloads and design requirements.
Applicants must meet the following Essential criteria:
- Minimum 3 months experience working within a SPED area
- Minimum 6 months manufacturing assembly experience
- Ability to use own initiative and work with minimal supervision
- Available to follow the shift work pattern for the area
