Wells Fargo is seeking a Specialty Software Engineering Manager within the Capital Markets Risk Technology Data Strategy Team (CMRT). The CMRT Data Strategy Team provides technology solutions for Market & Counterparty Risk Management, which includes the Traded Products Capital Team. The Core Data Strategy Application serves as a strategic data repository and control application ingesting data from upstream Systems of Record (SOR). The primary Use Case includes regulatory capital inputs to suffice various Regulatory Programs
In this role, you will:
- Make decisions in complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business's functional area or products, operations, and regulatory environment; facilitate decision-making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans; influence and lead key Business/Technology partners to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
- Analyze, design, and develop risk platform enhancements aligned to the data strategy and target state architecture. The role is responsible for analyzing/interpreting the Data Modernization strategy across impacted disciplines, and developing and implementing best-of-class data solutions.
- Partner with Business Sponsors, Technology Partners, and CMRT Team Members to formalize business requirements, translate business requirements into detailed technical requirements, and oversee Agile-based workstreams via use of Jira/Confluence.
In particular, develop and nurture relations of trust between all business stakeholders within Credit and Market Risk Management, include Data Management, Data Governance and Data Stewards organizations. - Manage a team of Business Analysts who are responsible to support all phases of SDLC best practices to include business demand intake, analysis/grooming, hand-off to Development Partners, overseeing Technology/Business Partner testing, and post-implementation validation.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for driving resolution of technology roadblocks including code, build and deployment while also managing overall software development cycle and security standards
- Collaborate, partner, and influence Product Managers/Product Owners to drive user satisfaction, influence technology requirements and priorities in the product roadmap, promote innovative and intelligent solutions, generate corporate value and articulate technical strategy while being a solid advocate of agile and DevOps practices
- Build engineering skills side-by-side in the codebase, conduct peer reviews to evaluate quality and solution alignment to technical direction, and guide design, as needed
- Interpret, develop and ensure security, stability, and scalability within functions of technology with low to moderate complexity, as well as identify, manage and mitigate technology and enterprise risk
- Collaborate and consult with the Product Managers/Product Owners to drive user satisfaction, influence technology requirements and priorities in the product roadmap, promote innovative and intelligent solutions, generate corporate value and articulate technical strategy while being a solid advocate of agile and DevOps practices
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in technology engineering
- Hire, mentor and guide talent development of direct reports to build the specialized domain experience and skills required to effectively design and deliver innovative solutions for the most challenging supported product areas/products
- 4+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of Leadership experience
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience in a Developer capacity leveraging core languages such as Python, Jave, C++, or C#to include Team Management (Developers/Analysts), Agile Methodologies, and SDLC/DevOps best practices
- 4+ years of Capital Markets, Governance, Risk, and Compliance concepts - including knowledge and understanding of risk management, data modeling, and derivative products
- 4+ years of Data Management/Lake experience, including exposure to related solutions (e.g Dremio)
- 4+ years of demonstrated superior project management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently, participating/leading forecasting events, and monitoring/managing actual vs. plan performance.
- 4+ years of experience in gathering user requirements, building solutions using Python in Test Driven Development (TDD) environment
- 4+ years of working with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Automation Deployment toolkits)
- 4+ years of experience in Relational DB (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 or others)
- 4+ years of experience designing distributed computing frameworks in Python
- 3+ years of experience in Micro-service and RESTFull API development
- 2+ years of experience in Cloud Computing (Azure, GCP and/or AWS)
- Ability to work onsite at one of the posted locations

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
