Job Description

Salary Range: $25 - $29 an hour based on education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant.

This position is responsible for the operation of all fabrication equipment associated with the manufacture and assembly of metallic products supplied to the construction industry. More specifically, this position will be responsible for operating specialty machines such as a CNC Bridge Mill, a plasma burning table, a 350-ton press brake, a shear, and a CNC machining center. Attention to safety and quality is essential to this position, as well as the skills necessary to assemble moderately complex products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required, additional course work with emphasis on machining processes and programming preferred.
• Five (5) or more years’ machine operating experience in an industrial fabrication shop.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings and other written instructions.
• Ability to use hand tools and all equipment in assigned area to form, machine, burn, and blast in the process to join components together into sub-assemblies and assemble into finished engineer-to-order products.
• Ability to maintain productivity, accurately check quality, and follow pre-established procedures and guidelines from start to finish.
• Comply with all safety regulations, including Safe Work Permits, training requirements, and use of safety equipment.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure with changing priorities and deadlines.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours as necessary, including overtime when required.
• Must be able to lift and manage material of up to 50 pounds unassisted; walk or stand for long periods of time; bend, stoop, or kneel if required; wear all required PPE.
