Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the full-time position of Specialty Deposits Support Associate II.

Description:

This position provides high levels of service and support to Commercial Deposit Group Leaders, Relationship Managers, and their respective customers and prospects. Partners with team members to learn how to answer customer inquiries including analyzing and resolving customer problems with guidance from team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and comply with all laws and regulations applicable to the position
  • Assist Deposit Relationship Managers with obtaining the required documentation for account opening
  • Assist commercial and specialty deposit clients with new accounts, wires, and account questions
  • Maintain current working knowledge of commercial account products, including treasury management services, and investment alternatives
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the relationships/portfolios supported
  • Act as Commercial Banking’s primary customer contact for targeted commercial and specialty deposit clients with complex bank account structures and/or servicing requirements
  • Retain commercial banking relationships by providing timely, accurate, and professional customer service and problem-resolution
  • Process outgoing manual and/or reverse wires as well as perform wire callbacks
  • Perform Interest Adjustments, Earnings Payments, and/or process Third Party Invoice Payments
  • Perform CRE account transactions
  • Manage incoming requests from Clients/Relationship Managers
  • Actively learns, takes personal initiative, and is a positive example for others to emulate
  • Maintains a work environment that instills motivation, teamwork, and enterprising attitudes
  • Regular and consistent attendance is required
  • Perform the job in accordance with applicable industry laws and regulations as well as the policies and procedures established by the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience Preferred:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience in commercial banking relationship management, service, and or/support
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a financial institution
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience opening new accounts
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and industry-specific software
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate good relationship-building skills
  • Must be able to produce accurate and timely results in a goal-driven environment
  • Must be able to accomplish tasks in an organized and meticulous way
  • Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and multitasker to complete tasks and produce results
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Fiduciary Accounts and Property Management

Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.

Working Conditions

The physical demands of this position require the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Employees may spend extended periods sitting or standing, using hands to operate computers or other equipment, and reaching for work-related tasks. Regular walking may be required, along with occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or climbing. The role may involve lifting or moving items weighing up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
