About the Position
We are looking for a high-energy individual to join our rapidly growing organization. The Specialized Account Manager has an opportunity to build a successful career in the trillion-dollar supply chain and logistics industry. Our world-class, paid training program gives you a solid foundation, and after that the sky is the limit for your growth.
We invest deeply in our new hires by providing up to 2 weeks of paid training to prepare them for their important role as a member of our team. The role will serve as a member of our brokerage team and will help support the growth of our specialized transportation base. The role will work closely with various members of our organization.
Principle Accountabilities
- Work directly with our valued carriers to deepen relationships and strengthen ITS’ position as a best-in-class specialized transportation provider.
- Work as needed with our customers to build unique and out-of-the-box solutions to complex specialized transportation needs.
- Proactively solicits new and existing accounts for new opportunities, documenting, communicating, and executing all business requirements.
- Becomes the Specialized transportation expert, training and enabling brokerage teams to become more knowledgeable in the field.
- Proactively on-boards and develops new customers including creating, updating, and maintaining new and existing SOPs.
- Works closely with the Outside Sales team to help develop and leverage the sales strategy to land new opportunities for both new and existing customers.
- Ensures customer interactions and feedback are entered into the CE.
- Prices all opportunities (ad-hoc, bid board, dedicated, etc.)
- Maintains the client pipeline and hits internal CRM KPI’s established.
- Negotiates customer rates and creates RFPs.
- Responsible for ensuring excellence in our data integrity.
- Provide excellent customer service in a timely manner, including shipment status updates, communicating with customers, and updating to customer portals.
- Additional duties as assigned.
About The Requirements
The ideal candidate must have an above average attention to detail and be very organized. The candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Additional attributes we seek include:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics required.
- Strong understanding of specialized equipment, permitting processes, and freight pricing.
- Minimum 2-year industry experience in 1 or more of the following: construction, energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure.
- Strong operational background.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Strong Customer Service skills required.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain deadlines.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must work onsite
- Pay: $50- $60K Base + uncapped commission (table goals)
The Compensation for this position is highly competitive and includes a comprehensive benefits plan with a matching 401k.
