Job Description
This role will provide coordination, and support IS functions in mainly for Tokyo (base) and Regional Data Center JP. Study, analyst and outline solution to automate any manual works with Excel VBA or work with GEO DEV team on advance solution.
Less experience candidate may consider as Specialist
Qualifications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Infrastructure and Technology
- Tier 1 support for Infrastructure and Technology to branch users in Tokyo/Kanto area
- IT system deployments from GEO/CHQ, GEO I&T collaborative initiative
- 24-hour incident response for critical case for regional data center in Tokyo and Kanto Area
- Hardware & software procurement

Acts as subject matter expert:
- Disaster Recovery of systems
- Policies and Procedures around IT – Cybersecurity, Network, Infrastructure
- Continue learning and growth on I & T learning knowledge and technologies

Monitors:
- Systems downtime
- Resource Utilization
- Service Desk queues
- Lead on Business Continuity Plan (BCP) on Cybersecurity and disaster recovery aspect for Japan branches
- Support new location (office/warehouse), moves or renovation, Warehouse RF implementation in , if any
- Telecom Infrastructure, Zoom/Teams Phone implementation and support
- Local 3rd Party Systems such as customs application, HR & payroll system
- Analyze manual works and streamline and automate where possible
- Occasionally travel to Osaka/Nagoya office may be required
- Willing to work on public holiday and after office hours

Training Requirements
- Level 1 IS Certification (Computer Based Test) - 1 year from hire date
- Level 2 IS Certification (Live Skills Demonstration) - 3 years from hire date

Education and Qualification
- Bachelor Degree or high diploma in Computer Sciences and experience with leadership in this field
- Language : Japanese (Native), English (intermediate or above) for both speaking and written.
- Experience on working multinational company
- Knowledge of Logistics Company business and operational processes
- Good organization skill (time management, task prioritization)
- Proactive, sense of urgency and self-motivated
- Proven experience on Excel VBA, manual works automation
- Advanced PC, Server and network hardware knowledge
- Basic PC imaging and deployments and Windows Client setup
- Basic networking (LAN/WAN, switch, router)
- Basic Windows server knowledge (install, server role setup, active directory)
- Basic server room infrastructure (wiring, racks, patch panels, UPS)
- Basic remote administration tools (RDP/terminal services, telnet/SSH)
- Mobile device proficiency (iOS and Android)
- Japan Customs Brokerage system like SOME/ID-SOME, NACSS is definitely an advantage
- Office & warehouse security system, CCTV is definitely an advantage
