What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

Personnel Planning: 

  • Workforce Scheduling: 
  • Develop and maintain workforce plans and staffing schedules based on production volume, logistics demand, shift coverage, and operational priorities. 
  • Identify coverage gaps, labor utilization trends, and staffing risks; recommend planning adjustments to operations leaders. 
  • Staffing Optimization: 
  • Analyze staffing levels, workload distribution, productivity data, and KPI trends to support workforce planning and resource allocation decisions. 
  • Partner with operations leaders to recommend staffing adjustments based on production demand, shift coverage, and labor utilization trends. 

KPI Management: 

  • KPI Development and Monitoring: 
  • Define, track, and analyze logistics KPIs such as order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, delivery performance, cost efficiency, productivity, and labor utilization. 
  • Reporting and Analysis: 
  • Prepare recurring KPI reports and dashboards that summarize operational performance, key trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. 
  • Present clear, data-based insights and recommendations to leadership to support operational performance, workforce planning, and resource alignment. 
  • Continuous Improvement: 
  • Identify opportunities to improve workforce planning, logistics efficiency, resource utilization, and KPI performance. 
  • Partner with operations leaders to support implementation of planning improvements and align actions with business goals. 
  • Resource Utilization: 
  • Support resource planning by evaluating personnel, equipment, and operational needs against business demand. 
  • Cross-functional Coordination: 
  • Coordinate with Logistics, Operations, HR, Talent Acquisition, Training, and Safety stakeholders to align workforce plans, readiness metrics, and logistics priorities. 
  • Escalate workforce planning, labor utilization, training readiness, or KPI risks to the appropriate functional leaders for review and action. 

Technology and Tools: 

  • Use of Logistics Software: 
  • Use logistics, workforce management, and reporting systems to maintain accurate planning data, schedules, KPI results, and performance metrics. 

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. 
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

  • Bachelor's degree in EngineeringSupply Chain Management, Operations or Business Management, or related field. An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree 
  • Minimum of 5 years in workforce planning, production planning, logistics planning, project planning, or a related planning function, preferably withing the automotive manufacturing industry. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficiency in KPI planning, data input, analysis, reporting and presentation of performance insights. 
  • Strong understanding of Production planning, scheduling and manufacturing environments with the ability to work effectively with IT systems and reporting tools. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to share knowledge, support process adoption, and communication planning expectations clearly across teams. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously 
  • Ability to communicate complex issues into clear, actionable verbal and written reports.   
  • Collaborative team-player with strong interpersonal skills able to work effectively across all levels of the organization.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial Base Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00

Internal Leveling Code: IC9
