Job Description:
The role of the Specialist in the Vendor Management Office is to take the lead relationship role between the vendor and the McDonald's stakeholders for a portfolio of Global Technology vendors contributing to the overall success of the McDonald's business. This role is responsible for the governance of the performance of the vendor producing and managing the RAID log, CSIP. The Specialist serves as a vendor contract subject matter expert to McDonald's stakeholders providing clarity on contractual obligations and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities of this position are related to the health of McDonald's relationships with the in-scope vendors. The individual who fills this role is responsible for managing outcomes and results as follows:

  • Identifying, negotiating, and on-boarding new suppliers
  • Executing contractual changes with engagement from key stakeholders
  • Managing critical disputes, involving appropriate executive and key stakeholders as appropriate
  • Through the execution of VMO standard operating procedures:
    • Ensures McDonald's stakeholders understand our contractual obligations under agreements
    • Monitors performance of contracts against performance indicators to ensure all obligations under agreements are being met
    • Leads the development/reporting of the provider scorecard (Executive, Functional, Operational reporting)
    • Leads monthly contract and vendor review meetings, holding the vendor accountable for delivery and formulating improvement plans.
  • Managing the contract benchmarking and renewal process with the engagement from the stakeholders
  • Reviewing, validating and approving provider invoices to ensure they are compliant with the contract terms/conditions
  • Alignment of processes with the other Global Technology teams and business partner teams

Qualifications:
The successful candidate for this position will have the following experience and expertise:

  • 1 - 3 years experience within an IT or Technology provider management role
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related discipline OR 1-3 years function experience in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated strong relationship building and management of stakeholders and vendors
  • Good conceptual and creative thinking with ability to communicate complex issues and information to all levels of the organization
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented individual who actively works to remove barriers to achieving results
  • Ability to work in a global fast-paced and agile environment
  • Adapts to changes in priorities with ease and is comfortable 'working in the grey'
  • Excellent presentation and meeting facilitation skills
  • Team orientated, collaborative leadership skills and ability to lead cross-functional colleagues and provider teams
  • Demonstrated and strong ability to remain focused under pressure
  • Adaptable and flexible while working in a busy global team
