The purpose of the Specialist, Technical Sales (Licensing Associate) is to help enable compelling deals for customers. Working with multiple stakeholders, the LA must help renew and expand the portfolio of customers.The Specialist, Technical Sales will work with both internal and external teams.
The Specialist, Technical Sales must have an aptitude for attention to detail, enjoy working with licensing programs, be willing to support new customers offerings as indicated by the organization, and have a capability for compliance & adhere to defined policies and procedures. Quality of delivery is a high priority for this role.
The Role of the Techinical Sales is to provide Licensing Consultancy & Deal Construct Support for selected Commercial Volume licensing programs.
CHARTERCollaborating with the Renewal Specialist& Partner Connection Manager, this individual is to secure the customer’s renewal agreement on time, identifying up-sell and cross-sell opportunities aligned to customer needs. It also involves selling new customer agreements based on demand triggers.
This is done by working with the Renewal Specialist to:
a. Know the customer’s business & licensing scenario.
b. Know the customer’s stakeholders & timelines.
c. Identify potential up-sell and cross-sell scenarios for that customer.
d. Prepare value propositions for these scenarios
e. Leverage available resources such as deal books and solution assessment workshops.
f. Gather customer business outcomes now and in future.
g. Migrate customers to other programs where possible.
h. Ensure customers are delighted by products and services.
Supporting deals for the designated territory/region.
Work with internal team/external to provide the best licensing solution for the customer aligned with strategy & policies.
Assist sales teams in developing and selling IT solutions, including positioning services, preparing financial analyses, and identifying opportunity areas.
Prepare deal books.
Work with stakeholders to identify sales hurdles and escalate when needed to support deal progression.
Ensure required approvals are obtained from authorized stakeholders.
Coordinate approvals in required internal tools for customer agreements (new or renewal).
Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
Deliver high-quality service, continuous learning, and process improvement.
