Role Summary:
As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist in Strategic Sourcing & Procurement, you’ll be responsible for working with your Director to: develop and lead strategic sourcing events of moderate complexity; writing and negotiating contract terms and documents; and analyzing spend associated with specific indirect spend categories. Your work will positively impact bottom-line results/value while minimizing risks, foster internal and external relationships, and work with internal stakeholders to educate and promote the procurement policies.
You will report to a Manager, Strategic Sourcing.
Role Description:
Simultaneously Lead indirect sourcing initiatives for IT, driving strategic improvements, and delivering on operational targets, savings goals, and business strategies
Conduct total cost modeling and sensitivity/scenario analysis to help stakeholders understand trade-offs and benefits to multiple outcomes
Assist with the analysis and planning for various components of indirect spend categories to ensure operational success and results
Use sourcing tools to support departmental efforts to refine and improve procurement processes and policies
Develop and manage relationships with business stakeholders and provide regular project status updates
Partner with multiple corporate functions (e.g., Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, Legal, etc.) as part of your sourcing projects and related activities
Review, revise, and negotiate contract language
Assist in the development and management of the contract renewal process
Participate in supplier relationship activities (e.g., regular business reviews, vendor score carding, etc.)
You will own sourcing projects and work with your Director to bring them to completion
Required Qualifications (Minimum Requirements):
Bachelor’s degree preferably in supply chain management, engineering, or business
3+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing
Demonstrated capabilities of leading sourcing projects, contract negotiations and authoring, and driving savings/value
Ability to build relationships through verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Experience coordinating teams and collecting insights
Understanding of multi-step strategic sourcing processes, sourcing tools, and strategies
