The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will support the Procurement team and own the negotiation and development of all fixtures, furnishings, and equipment (FF&E), construction materials and all other essential items associated with JD Group Brand's expansion across North America. The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will play a key role by executing bids, prototype development, vendor onboarding, vendor management and risk assessment, administrative tasks, planning, and organizing. The primary goal of the Sourcing Specialist is to deliver cost savings while maintaining quality and brand standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides support with the tender process.
- New vendor set up / on-boarding.
- Analyses tender returns and provides feedback.
- Identifies cost savings opportunities to management.
- Aims to reduce costs through various vendor initiatives.
- Issues and manages the procurement initiative and savings tracker.
- Build and manages the Procurement supplier database.
- Processes purchase orders where required.
- Tracks procurement timelines and critical paths delivering on deadlines.
- Coordinates with the logistics and supply teams.
- Tracks and monitors supplier cost savings.
- Support the logistics and supply team where required.
- Supports and coordinates with the construction and design team.
- Additional duties and projects as required by management
Experience and Skills:
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of the procurement function
- Previous experience in working with multiple vendors
- Excellent organizational skills
- Previous project admin experience
- Proficient in Microsoft / Google suite or equivalent

Required Education and/or Experience
College degree in Business management or related field preferred but not required. Individual should have 2-4 years in retail construction, design, or visual merchandising.
