THE POSITION
This role is designated as match day–only and includes participation in a select number of required training sessions scheduled ahead of the tournament. Reporting operationally to the FIFA Stadium Safety & Security Senior Manager, the Stadium Security PSA/VSA Specialist is responsible for overseeing the Private Security resources deployed to deliver search and screening operations in accordance with FIFA Prohibited Items policy, preventing the introduction of prohibited materials into the stadium perimeter during Match Day operations.
The role ensures that Private Security personnel assigned to the Pedestrian Screening Areas (PSA), the Vehicle Screening Area (VSA), and controlled compliance zones, operate in accordance with approved FIFA policies and procedures, the Venue Safety & Security Plan (VSSP), Dot Maps, and Match Day directives of the FWC26 Security team.
The Stadium PSA/VSA Specialist supports consistent implementation of FIFA Prohibited Items policy, Flags & Banners regulations, and Brand Protection measures within the stadium footprint.
Key Responsibilities and Oversight
Operational Delivery – PSA & VSA Zones
Oversee Private Security personnel deployed across:
- Pedestrian Screening Areas (PSA)
- Vehicle Screening Areas (VSA)
- Search lanes and inspection points
- Item deposit/storage areas (where applicable)
- Adjacent queue management zones
- Ensure deployment aligns with approved Dot Planning and VSSP zoning.
- Escalate issues/staffing gaps to FIFA Stadium Safety & Security Senior Manager and Stadium Operations Center (SOC).
- Maintain operational integrity of screening lanes, search procedures, and vehicle inspection protocols ensuring only ticketed or accredited people enter the stadium
- Escalate PSA system failures as necessary
Prohibited Items Policy Enforcement
- Ensure Private Security personnel consistently enforce FIFA Prohibited Items policy.
- Monitor search procedures to confirm proper identification and handling of prohibited materials.
- Oversee documentation and storage procedures for retained items (if applicable).
- Identify inconsistencies in screening standards and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure installation of signage to provide guidance to spectators.
Flags & Banners Compliance
- Monitor inspection and approval procedures for flags and banners entering through PSA locations.
- Ensure compliance with approved FIFA Flags & Banners policy.
- Identify and escalate non-compliant materials in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure implementation of Flags & Banners check-points, signage installation, distribution of equipment to Private Security Company.
Brand Protection
- Monitor reporting of unauthorized commercial activity or ambush marketing at screening points.
- Ensure prohibited promotional materials are identified and confiscated.
- Coordinate with Private Security and Law Enforcement when tactical enforcement is required.
- Incident Management & SOC Coordination
- Monitor, document, and report PSA/VSA-related incidents, disputes, or compliance issues.
- Immediately escalate significant issues to the FIFA Stadium Safety & Security Senior Manager and Stadium Operations Center (SOC).
- Support coordinated incident response in alignment with FIFA Security directives.
- Provide timely and accurate situational updates through established reporting channels.
- Participate in post-incident reviews where applicable.
Stakeholder Liaison
- Coordinate operationally with:
- Private Security supervisors
- Stadium Operations
- Guest Services
- Perform as a FWC2026 SEC liaison with Law Enforcement when required
- Ensure clarity of escalation pathways for screening-related disputes or enforcement actions.
- Maintain professional conduct in high-volume and high-pressure entry environments.
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate operational records relating to PSA/VSA deployment, screening performance, and incidents.
- Submit Match Day updates and post-match summaries as required.
- Support compliance verification and operational validation processes.

Work Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in security operations, preferably in major events or high-capacity screening environments.
- Experience supervising or coordinating Private Security services.
- Strong understanding of screening procedures, access control, and prohibited items enforcement.
- Experience managing high-volume entry operations.
- Major event or international tournament experience is an advantage.
Languages
- Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus

- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
