THE POSITION
This role is designated as match day–only and includes participation in a select number of required training sessions scheduled ahead of the tournament. Reporting operationally to the FIFA Stadium Safety & Security Senior Manager, the Stadium Security Crowd Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing the Private Security resources deployed across public spectator areas during Match Day stadium operations. 

The role ensures that Private Security personnel assigned to concourses, vomitories, seating bowl access points such as Turnstiles and Pedestrian Screening Areas, circulation routes, and spectator-controlled zones operate in accordance with approved FIFA policies and procedures, the Venue Safety & Security Plan (VSSP), Dot Maps, and Match Day directives. 

The EVS Crowd Management Specialist supports the safe and orderly movement of spectators and ensures zoning integrity throughout the stadium footprint. 

Key Responsibilities and Oversight 

Operational Delivery – Spectator Areas 
  • Oversee Private Security personnel deployed across: 
  • Public concourses 
  • Vomitories and seating bowl access points 
  • Circulation corridors 
  • Stairwells and vertical movement points 
  • Designated spectator holding or contingency areas 
  • Ensure deployment aligns with approved Dot Planning and VSSP zoning. 
  • Maintain operational integrity of access control between public and restricted areas. 

Crowd Flow & Zoning Integrity 
  • Monitor spectator density and movement patterns. 
  • Support mitigation of congestion, bottlenecks, and late-arrival surges. 
  • Ensure spectators remain within ticketed zones. 
  • Identify and escalate emerging crowd risks or unsafe behavior. 
  • Coordinate with Private Security Supervisors to adjust deployment as required. 

Compliance & Standards 
  • Monitor adherence to FIFA operational directives relating to crowd management and zoning. 
  • Ensure Private Security personnel enforce access control in accordance with approved post orders. 
  • Identify and escalate deviations from approved operational planning. 

Incident Management & SOC Coordination 
  • Monitor, document, and report crowd-related incidents within spectator areas. 
  • Immediately escalate significant crowd incidents to the FIFA Safety and Security Senior Manager and Stadium Operations Center (SOC). 
  • Support coordinated response in alignment with FIFA Security directives. 
  • Provide timely situational updates through established reporting channels. 
  • Participate in post-incident reviews where applicable. 

Stakeholder Liaison 
  • Coordinate operationally with: 
  • Private Security supervisors 
  • Stadium Operations 
  • Guest Services teams 
  • Access Management 
  • Law Enforcement when tactical intervention is required 
  • Ensure clarity of escalation pathways for crowd-related incidents. 
  • Maintain professional conduct in high-density, high-pressure environments. 

Reporting & Administration 
  • Maintain accurate operational records relating to crowd deployment and incidents. 
  • Submit Match Day updates and post-match summaries as required. 
  • Support compliance verification and operational validation processes.

Education & Qualifications
  • Relevant professional certifications in event operations or safety management are an advantage 
Work Experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in security operations, preferably in major events, hospitality, logistics, or VIP environments 
  • Experience supervising or coordinating private security services 
  • Experience in Crowd Management on large scale events 
  • Strong understanding of access control, incident response, and operational security principles 
  • Major event or international tournament experience is an advantage  
Languages
  • Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus 
Technology
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools

PAY INFORMATION
In accordance with California' s Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the pay range for this position is $34 per hour. This estimate is based on this position being performed in California, and the range may not apply to similar positions in other locations. In determining actual base pay, FIFA 26 considers candidate education, experience, and other job-related factors allowed by law. An employee’s position within the salary range will be determined by various factors, including relevant education, experience, qualifications, certifications, skills, geographic location, performance metrics, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business needs.
