Specialist, Source-to-Contract, APAC

 

The Specialist, Source-to-Contract, will ensure that the Regional Service Delivery Procurement Source-to-Contract organisation delivers results in support of the Global Services, OneProcurement and Johnson & Johnson business strategy and objectives. The role works directly with the business, category procurement teams, and the broader function. Additionally, you contribute to and/or own the operational execution of prioritized category strategy implementations, sourcing and contracting cases, and other critical functional activities.

This role performs duties related to the implementation and execution of the organization's strategic sourcing plan, from assisting with contract negotiation, contract authoring and contract management activities through executing cost reduction strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts the day-to-day operations of the Source-to-Contract function, including sourcing event management, price and other contract terms negotiaton, contract drafting and execution, and stakeholder management activities. Delivers against defined Service Levels.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory, legal and company policies and procedures.

·      Collaborates with multiple departments in the development and execution of strategies and plans that improve the organization’s profitability and competitive position, utilizing market intelligence and risk assessments.

  • Drives continuous improvements in user experience, effectiveness, and efficiency in assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Support development and implementation of automation and AI (Artificial Intelligence) initiatives within assigned area of responsibility; act as product owner for S2C tools and AI features; gather requirements, prioritize, test, and roll out enhancements.
  • Builds relationships with internal customers and external suppliers, works to understand their business objectives, and provides support in addressing their needs.
  • Mentors and collaborates amongst a team of Source-to-Contract specialists.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent University degree is required.
  • An MBA or further advanced degree is preferred.
Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 2-4 years of Procurement, sourcing contracting or other relevant business experience
  • Collaboration, Communication & Influencing Skills: Should be regarded as a constructive player in various teams within the company and outside. Should have the requisite communication skills to communicate & influence objectives and then develop collaborative relationships both internally and externally to achieve them.
  • Fluency in Japanese & English is required and is capable to support communicating with stakeholders and suppliers and contracting reviewing  
  • Adaptability & Openness to Change
  • Learning agility and the ability to identify opportunities for continuous process and technology improvement.
Preferred:
  • Good understanding of Sourcing and Contracting processes and Source-to-settle operations at a high level is preferred
  • Legal background or contracting experience is preferred
·       Shared Services Industry experience.
  • Fluency in one other language (written and oral) for the supported region(s) is preferred.
Other:
  • Requires up to 5% domestic and international travel.
