The Front Arena team in CIB Global Markets Technology is looking for a Specialist Solution Analyst to join a high-performing DevOps team. The role involves interpreting business needs, converting them into robust system solutions, and ensuring high-quality delivery through effective manual testing and close collaboration with both engineering and business stakeholders.
The successful candidate will contribute across business analysis, solution design, and testing, with a strong emphasis on delivering solutions for global financial markets within a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Analysis & Requirements
Partner with business stakeholders and DevOps teams to understand business processes
Elicit, analyse, and document business and system requirements
Translate requirements into clear user stories with detailed acceptance criteria
Manage and prioritise backlogs aligned to business value
Contribute to solution roadmaps, effort estimates, and business cases
Work on complex, high-impact Front Arena solutions
Influence solution quality from concept through to production
Solution Design (Within DevOps Context)
Be part of a collaborative DevOps culture
Translate business needs into detailed system requirements, including integrations, interfaces, and functionality within and across technologies
Use UML / BPMN to model business and system processes
Work collaboratively with project / program teams, squads, scrum masters and engineers to define backlog, release & DevOps / project planning implications of the requirements Collaborate with engineers, scrum masters, and product owners on backlog and release planning
Review solution designs and support requirement changes during delivery
Testing & Delivery
Define and execute manual testing strategies and test cases
Execute test cases, analyse results, and provide real-time feedback to delivery teams
Support system integration testing, production validation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Collaborate with automation testing teams where applicable
Monitor solution stability and quality throughout testing and release
Collaboration
Participate in peer reviews, knowledge sharing, and problem-solving across teams
Skills & Experience required
5+ years’ experience in a System / Solution Analyst / Business Analyst in Agile or DevOps environments
Strong hands-on experience with Front Arena (trading, risk, valuation, or integrations) preferred however, experience with other front‑to‑back trading, risk, or capital markets platforms that are closely related and transferable to Front Arena (e.g. Murex, Calypso, Endur, Summit, Sophis, ION platforms) will also be considered.
Working knowledge of Python for scripting and test support
Practical experience using SQL for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting
Solid background in requirements analysis, user stories, and backlog management
Strong manual testing experience
Experience with UML, BPMN, or similar modelling techniques
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Education
