This is a unique opportunity to grow and gradually take over from an experienced predecessor, connecting with a high number of stakeholders within both our product development group and corporate technology departments.

The Technology department plays a key role in the continuous development of new products and technologies in order to strengthen our position on the market and differentiate our products.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working in a multi-disciplinary development team, for ROBOTIC WORKCELLS. These Case and Item pick systems are part of Vanderlande’s Material handling systems in warehousing.
Your position
As a DevOps Engineer you combine software development (Dev) and OT operations (Ops) to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and speed of software development and deployment processes. A crucial role bridging the gap between development and operations teams, ensuring smooth and continuous delivery of software products, for ROBOTIC WORKCELLS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learning and Transition: Work closely with an experienced DevOps Engineer to learn and take over their responsibilities. This includes understanding existing systems, processes, and best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, including product development teams and corporate technology departments, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of services.
- System Management: Maintain and improve our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and deployment processes.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to system performance, security, and scalability.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our systems and processes.
- Software Management: Ensure the smooth operation and integration of software running on high-end equipment, maintaining high standards of performance and reliability.
- Support the transition to full compliance to NIS2 cybersecurity
Qualifications:
- Academic Background: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development with a strong automation mindset.
- Proven experience in coordinating software development, test and deployment to production environments, with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of DevOps practices: Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Scripting Languages (Python, Bash).
- Curiosity: A strong desire to learn and grow to a senior level in the field of DevOps.
- Social and Collaborative: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Enthusiast and Passionate: A genuine interest in technology, coding, and continuous learning.
