About the Role:
The Quality Specialist will provide guidance on product design and processes as they relate to compliance with quality system requirements. Provides focused support and assumes responsibility for timely and effective coordination and/or execution of assigned development project activities. The Quality Specialist s a building block to an engineering position, so personal and professional development is important for this position.
Your Responsibilities:
- Identifies, analyzes, and implements key quality systems in manufacturing that improve or stabilize product quality
- Adjusts and makes corrections to existing quality systems or processes
- Communicates effectively with and builds good relationships with cross-functional business unit and other department personnel
- Gathers internal and external feedback
- Solves problems and facilitates problem solving and process improvement efforts with others
- Exercises problem solving skills and statistical analysis
- Conducts effective training and meetings
- Exercises project management skills
- Manages QA Tech resources wisely and fosters teamwork within their group and department
- Employs and exercises use of common quality tools, methods, and principles
- Advisory contact to plant managers, Quality Engineers, and other plant personnel
- Produces reports, presentations, audits, summaries, and systems
- Facilitates process maps, system maps, control plans and other informational methods
- Plans and executes containment activities as needed
- Communicates organizational vision and values to QA personnel
