MasterCard Data & Services is seeking an accomplished Product Specialist to support the delivery and evolution of its Business Intelligence products. These products are at the heart of a world-class analytics eco-system built on a universe of behavioral data. They help everyday business users to make smarter data-driven decisions which move the needle on business performance.
Product Specialist in Insights & Analytics at Mastercard• Contribute to the development of analytics strategies and programs for regional and global clients by leveraging data and technology solutions to unlock client value• Provide creative input on projects across a range of industries and problem statements• Collaborate with Mastercard team to understand clients' needs, agenda, and risks • Develop working relationship with client analysts/managers, and act as trusted and reliable partner• Translate a deep understanding of our customers into products and solutions that drive significant customer value• Set product direction with coordination, not isolation-taking into account how our products all work together to serve customer needs
Role• Develop, upgrade and deliver scalable Business Intelligence products by understanding regional needs and tradeoffs that serve an array of customer segments• Independently identify trends, patterns, issues, and anomalies in defined area of analysis, and
structure and synthesize own analysis to highlight relevant findings• Coordinate across cross-functional teams for product usage, solve challenges and continuous product enhancement• Support the product strategy including such as distribution of reporting products through the platforms• Work with the Global Product Management team to prioritize development efforts as they align against product strategy• Build strong working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to achieve product goals
All About You• Undergraduate degree with data and analytics experience in business intelligence and/or
descriptive, predictive, or prescriptive analytics • Leverage diverse analytic tools (SQL, etc.) for end-to-end ownership of delivering scaled analytic products• Data and analytics experience in building, managing, and maintaining database structures, working with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI & Tableau), and working with Hadoop framework and coding using Impala, Hive, or PySpark • Ability to analyze large datasets and synthesize key findings to provide recommendations via
descriptive analytics and business intelligence• Strategic mind set to solve complex and ambiguous problems• Keen understanding of competitive offerings and industry trends in the market• Understand the self-service analytics space, and the ability to translate that understanding into meaningful actions and enhancements• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to interact with clients• Highly organized and able to deal with multiple and competing priorities• Knowledge and skills using product management tools, (e.g. market and product plans, project timelines, marketing research, pricing, business case development)
