The Organizational Effectiveness (OE) and Integration Program Office ensures People Enablement (HR) resources are focused on the priorities that most directly improve business performance, organizational effectiveness, and employee outcomes. We drive strategic initiatives through portfolio and project management, change leadership, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making, connecting enterprise strategy to measurable results. 

A key portfolio within the OE Program Office is mergers, acquisitions, and integration management. We lead people-related integration efforts that bring together organizations, teams, processes, systems, and cultures, helping ensure transactions achieve their intended business value while delivering a positive employee experience.

Position Summary:

The M&A Specialist will support People Enablement (HR) merger, acquisition, and integration activities across Compass International Holdings, helping translate transaction objectives into clear plans, coordinated execution, and a strong employee experience. This role will partner with cross-functional teams within People Enablement and organize diligence, track integration milestones, identify risks, and support decision-making across people, HR process, systems, and operating model workstreams.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working across multiple stakeholders, and able to move between detailed execution and broader integration priorities. This role requires sound judgment, discretion, strong communication skills, and the ability to bring structure to complex work without adding unnecessary process.

Key Responsibilities:

M&A Integration Planning and Execution

  • Develop and maintain detailed workplans, milestone trackers, dependency logs, and risk registers.
  • Coordinate integration activities across multiple workstreams to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Due Diligence and Assessment

  • Assist in the coordination of people, organizational, and operational due diligence activities.
  • Gather, organize, and analyze information to identify risks, opportunities, and integration considerations.
  • Track diligence findings and support action planning for integration readiness.

Cross-Functional Program Coordination

  • Partner with stakeholders across People Enablement, Finance, IT, Operations, and Legal.
  • Facilitate meetings, document decisions, and drive follow-through on action items.
  • Prepare status reports, executive summaries, and governance materials for M&A Manager.

Employee Experience and Change Management

  • Support employee-facing integration activities, including communications, FAQs, onboarding, and transition planning.
  • Help identify change impacts and support strategies that promote adoption, engagement, and organizational alignment.

Data, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain integration dashboards and reporting tools to provide visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Analyze data and summarize insights to support informed decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development of integration playbooks, templates, and best practices that improve future transaction execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4–7+ years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, integration management, project management, consulting, organizational effectiveness, HR transformation, business operations, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of HR, talent, payroll, compensation, benefits, employee relations, people operations, HR systems, employee communications, or organizational design workstreams.

  • Experience working within an Integration Management Office (IMO), Program Management Office (PMO), consulting environment, or corporate strategy function.

  • Familiarity with change management methodologies and integration frameworks.

  • Experience creating executive-level presentations, dashboards, and governance materials.

  • Ability to leverage analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve decision-making, efficiency, and execution quality.

Skills Required
