As a Specialist you will play a crucial role in driving Hapag-Lloyd's sales performance in the Far East, utilizing our expertise in the shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company's growth and success in the Asia Trade region.

Responsibilities
  • Active sales and marketing of Hapag-Lloyd's services, with a focus on export to the Far East
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of existing clients, while also acquiring new customers
  • Evaluate customer potential and create sales plans for the assigned customer segment using MR Sales methodology
  • Continuously monitor, analyze, and report on customer performance, market trends, and competitor activities
  • Organize sales activities and oversee business development using QlikView and Salesforce
  • Coordinate transport quotations and handle global and local tenders in collaboration with the Sales Coordination team
  • Establish and promote a push/pull sales process with other Hapag-Lloyd areas and regions
  • Collaborate closely with the Area's Sales and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless operations
Qualifications
  • Completed commercial apprenticeship or a comparable degree
  • Several years of professional experience in the shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics industry, preferably in an external sales/sales role in the export business, with a focus on the Asia Trade
  • A sales-oriented mindset, with strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Self-initiative, resilience, and excellent communication abilities
  • Analytical, systematic, and efficient work style
  • High affinity for digital products and willingness to adapt to new technologies
  • Excellent written and spoken German, and good English language skills
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a results-driven mindset

Skills Required
