The Key Accounts Specialist provides administrative, operational, and strategic support to the Key & Chain Accounts Sales team, ensuring the seamless execution of sales programs, accurate data management, and effective communication with internal teams and key regional and national customer partners (on- and off-premise). The Specialist manages relationships with local customers, partners with the national accounts team, advocates for company brands in the market, and serves as the primary contact for smaller accounts. By collaborating with Trade Development, field sales, and retailers, the Specialist drives growth in volume, share, and profit across customers and brands.Job Description:
Job Responsibilities:
- Sales Program Execution and Support:
- Develop and implement sales programs across key regional and national accounts (on- and off-premise).
- Monitor program performance and provide feedback to improve execution.
- Assist with customer relationship management and account execution.
- Support POS needs, including signage and wine/cocktail lists, using BBG Digital Capabilities.
- Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate account data, promotional calendars, pricing sheets, and product distribution lists.
- Analyze sales data to track volume, promotional effectiveness, and identify trends and opportunities.
- Support forecasting by reconciling sales inputs with demand planning.
- Prepare presentations, recap decks, and meeting materials for account reviews.
- Collaboration & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with local customers and serve as the primary contact for smaller accounts.
- Partner with the national accounts team to align strategies and ensure consistent engagement.
- Address inquiries and resolve order or pricing issues for assigned accounts.
- Coordinate business initiatives with Trade Development, field sales teams, retailers, and internal teams.
- Brand Advocacy and Market Insights:
- Advocate for company brands in the market, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
- Promote brand initiatives to drive awareness and loyalty.
- Provide market insights and feedback to inform strategies.
- Monitor competitive activity and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Drive growth in volume, share, and profit, and develop strategies to achieve goals.
- Conduct safe and responsible interactions with the public while responsibly handling beverage alcohol product.
- Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
- Minimum 2 years’ overall work experience, preferable within the beverage alcohol and/or CGP industry
- Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
- Ability to generate high quality marketing, sales, and/or financial analysis and presentations
- Ability to persuasively communicate business insights to key stakeholders; includes excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills
- Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
- Analytic and Reporting skills
- Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the beverage alcohol industry
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to remain in a stationary position at times; communicate, and operate a computer and telephone
