What you’ll do

The IT Systems & Project Specialist serves as the key liaison between Production Steering, Logistics, IT, and business stakeholders to define, implement, optimize, and govern operational systems that support production planning, scheduling, vehicle sequencing, manufacturing execution, reporting, and outbound logistics processes. 

  • Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
  • Collaborate with Logistics, Production, IT, Sales, Accessories, After Sales and other Scout and Group teams to define and deliver the process requirements, systemsinterfaces and coordinate training to support. 
  • Propose and agree with the related shareholder the system needs, owners, introduction timing, interfaces, to support the roles of Production Steering, including production planning, scheduling, sequencing, pearl chain adherence and vehicle logistics outbound.  
  • Monitor the processes and control the systems to support the roles of Production Steering.  
  • Analyze potential deviations from the established Production Steering requirements and the required Actions to ensure the continuous elimination of such deviations, 
  • Support internal and external resources for planning, executing and optimizing all Production Steering requirements in Logistics responsibilities.  
  • Deliver role process control through planning and implementing KPIs with clear responsibility distribution, coordinate problem solving activity in case of deviance from the defined targets, 
  • Support the department as needed through quality processes, audits, and participation in other functions.  
  • Lead/coordinate Production Steering Projects to secure end-to-end requirements are documented, reported, and delivered. 

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina.
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. 
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Analytics, or a related field. An equivalent amount of relevant work experience my be considered in lieu of a degree. 
  • 4+ years of demonstrated experience with enterprise system implementations, integrations, testing, deployment, and user support. 
  • Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, sequencing, capacity management, and manufacturing operations. 
  • Experience documenting business requirements, process flows, standard operating procedures, and user acceptance testing. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience utilizing KPIs, dashboards, and operational reporting. 
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, and PowerPoint.  Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
  • Experience with ERP, APS, MES, SAP, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Logistics Systems, or Production Control platforms. 
  • Knowledge of automotive quality systems, including ISO, VDA, IATF, or related standards. 
  • Experience with project management methodologies. 
  • Experience supporting launch activities within a start-up or greenfield manufacturing environment.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial Base Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00

Internal Leveling Code: IC9
