Summary of the role

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Master Production Planning:
- Develop and maintain a rolling 12-month Master Production Plan (MPP) aligned with demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and business priorities
- Incorporate considerations such as NBS ranking, labor availability, equipment capacity, and material constraints
- Identify risks to the revenue plan and proactively recommend mitigation strategies to leadership
- Continuously adjust plans based on changes in demand, supply constraints, or business priorities
Production Scheduling:
- Translate the master production plan into detailed weekly production schedules
- Communicate priorities to internal manufacturing teams and external processors
- Provide regular status updates on production performance, risks, and recovery plans
Inventory Management
- Establish and manage finished goods inventory targets, including safety stock levels by SKU/pack size
- Conduct regular supply-demand balancing to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Partner with Purchasing to align raw material inventory with the production plan
- Monitor and drive performance against inventory turns and working capital targets
Customer Delivery & Service (OTD)
- Confirm order fulfillment commitments based on capacity and material availability
- Adjust customer lead times as needed to reflect current operating conditions
- Drive performance toward On-Time Delivery (OTD) targets
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track actual performance against the Master Production Plan
- Identify gaps, root causes, and corrective actions
- Support monthly demand review and forecast alignment discussions
- Provide timely and accurate reporting of key supply chain metrics
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Purchasing, Warehouse, Engineering, and Operations to achieve business objectives
- Lead & support S&OP / Integrated Business Planning processes
- Present supply plan scenarios, risks, and recommendations to leadership
Systems & Data Management
- Maintain accurate master data in ERP and planning systems
- Develop subject matter expertise (SME-level) in planning tools
- Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and data quality
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATES
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or ISM certification preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Master Scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing or assembly environment
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Advanced Planning Systems preferred
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Strong knowledge of supply chain planning processes (demand, supply, inventory)
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage complexity and competing priorities
- Effective communication and stakeholder influence skills
